MOTOR COMBO: BREVE BIOGRAFÍA
Al fin ve la luz el CD POLO que resume los 10 años de trayectoria, calmada y persistente, de Motor Combo, uno de los dúos más difíciles de clasificar que ha dado nuestro país.
El grupo lo forman los polifacéticos Eli Gras (diseñadora, inventora, directora del Fest. NoNològic, editora, ilustradora, escritora...) y Florenci Salesas (actor, escritor, conferenciante, guionista, músico, dibujante...), amigos y colaboradores en varios proyectos artísticos desde comienzos de los 80. En el año 2002, junto a Raúl Hidalgo, crearon el grupo. Este hecho coincidió con el nacimiento de La Olla Expréss como entidad editorial. En su etapa inicial como trío, los Motor Combo se limitaban a interpretar las piezas instrumentales contenidas en Músiques Fredes de Florenci Salesas, el primer CD editado por el sello. Fue a partir del 2003 cuando compusieron nuevos temas, incluyendo algunos pop cantados, basados principalmente en textos de Eli. En aquel momento el grupo pasó a la formación de dúo que se ha mantenido hasta hoy en día.
Los temas del actual CD se han grabado entre el 2004 y el 2012, mezclados y producidos por Eli Gras. Este disco hará feliz a un gran número de fans que, ya desde la edición del CD El Avión (La Olla Expréss, 04) pedían más títulos.
